Privacy
Homo Ludens is a small, independent collection of history games made in Rotterdam. It collects as little as it can.
Your games stay in your browser
Scores, streaks and saved games are kept in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Anonymous usage statistics
The games use PostHog to count things like how many people start a game or finish the tutorial. It uses no cookies, records no sessions and ties events to a random id created in your browser, not to your name or email.
New-game emails
If you sign up, your email address is stored only to send you one email each time a new game comes out. You confirm the address first; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after a week. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address. Emails are sent through Resend and the list is stored on Cloudflare. The address is never sold or shared.
Feedback
Messages you send with the Feedback button go to a private channel read only by the maker of the games, together with the page you were on and, if you add it, your email so you can get a reply.
Spam protection
Sign-up and feedback forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending them.
Questions or deletion
Use the Feedback button on any page, or reply to any email you got from us, and your data will be removed.
